| Swan Travel Service Standards
On a typical Swan Travel group departure tour,
we always choose the finest hotels and dining facilities for our
travelers. We also give our traveler more flexibility on meal service.
For example, there are numerous restaurants in Beijing, instead
of heading to a tourist restaurant; we choose to dine at a new local
restaurant located in a renovated old house in a side street of
the city. We offer full board service which includes all meal arrangement
in entire trip, we also offer half-board service which deducts a
few dinners for some traveler who would like to skip dinner but
enjoy more of their own free evening.
A typical wilderness day in our Adventure tour Program
is different. Swan Travel strives to deliver luxury even in the
wilderness. You normally wake up with a freshly brewed coffee or
Chinese tea. After a breakfast of scrambled eggs and cereal or a
traditional Chinese breakfast of noodle soup, travelers can start
the trek or jeep ride with a small daypack that contains no more
than personal necessities, such as a camera, water, and a simple
lunch. Our local support staff will take down the camp and pack
the horses later. After a full day's trek, you will arrive at the
campsite that is already set up by the support staff. (They are
likely to overtake travelers at around lunchtime). A full dinner
with multiple dishes will be served shortly when you are just getting
hungry.
Our typical Family & Fun Program, we run small
family groups from 4-22 people. Once a group is bigger than 12,
we will send our Trip Leaders who have rich leading experience.
Also, we will have a Kid Coordinator who orchestrates activities
for the entire family as well as events created for the younger
crowd.
Swan Travel ‘s Senior Program
are fit for first time visitors who are not only want to have a
glance on the must-to-see sites, but also able to deeply explore
the culture, history and Chinese arts. We invite local reputed expert
in different fields to share their knowledge with our traveler,
we arrange educational and private visit to those unopened section
in museum.
Hotels: Instead of going for the
standard choice of a large chain hotel, we often dig much deeper
into the city and look for places with style and comfort. Our staff
tests every lodge and inn before we recommend them for clients.
Meals: The Chinese tourism authority often designates
restaurants for tourist groups. These places are often reliable,
but in China, everyday there is a new restaurant somewhere. At Swan
Travel, we keep updating our lists and choose the ones to which
we would take our personal guests.
Drinking water, coffee and tea: We don’t
recommend our clients to drink from taps anywhere in China. Instead,
we provide bottled water and snacks throughout the journey. During
meals, a cup of freshly brewed coffee or good Chinese tea often
delivers the next level of comfort on a rigorous tour.
Vehicles: Dependent on the size of the group, we
use 4WD jeeps or vans and buses in good condition. We normally use
vans on paved roads for a large group of 10 people or more for a
couple of reasons: not only do they allow plenty of room to move
around in the vehicle, but they also allow opportunities to socialize
or relax by yourself. All of our luggage and other travel gear is
in a separate support truck.
We use drivers who maintain good safety records for all our journeys.
Safety procedures and record: Most of our travelers
are high-end premium customers, who desire to visit unique, off-the
beaten path destinations in comfort and safety. So far, we have
been blessed with no accidents and we work hard to keep this record.
Swan Travel ensures the safety of its customer in the following
ways:
Our product development staff is constantly on the road, monitoring
conditions and assessing the effects of developments on the safety
and comfort of our travelers. If we have any reason to believe that
safety or service levels are being compromised, Swan Travel will
not run the tour.
Our leaders and support staff take the utmost care with every aspect
of the trip from altitude-related concerns to ensuring proper, hygienic
food preparation. If the tour is traveling off the beaten path,
we will equip the group with at least one guide with first-aid certification
and a first-aid kit.
