Senior Program
CN13 - Waterways, Architecture and Gardens of China – 12Days
Context
This twelve-day trip covers Shanghai, Hangzhou, Huangshan, or Yellow
Mountain and Guilin They are one of China's most famous scenic spots.
Eulogized by numerous poets and painters, the tranquil beauty of
Huangshan's soaring peaks and elegant pines have attracted travelers
for centuries. Tucked away not so far from the foothills of the
mountain are villages with over 800 years' history, each possessing
some of the most beautiful, living examples of Ming or Qing architecture
in the world. This short trip will allow you to take a scenic hike
in a legendary mountain, followed by an excursion to the surrounding
countryside - an area known as Huizhou - famous for its classical
Chinese landscape and where the Oscar-winning movie "Crouching
Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was filmed. And also this trip will allow
